  • Electric Pressure Cooker
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Strainer


  • 1 Whole Chicken Giblets and neck removed
  • 1 Whole Onion peeled
  • 2 Cloves Garlic smashed
  • 1 Whole Carrot roughly chopped
  • 1 Bunch Parsley
  • 3 tbsp Sea Salt Course ground
  • 1 tsp Ground Thyme
  • Water to cover


  • Remove the giblets and neck from the chicken and place it in your electric pressure cooker.
  • Salt the chicken thoroughly. (There’s almost no such thing as too much salt for this).
  • Add in your onion, garlic, carrot, bunch of parsley and thyme.
  • Add water to your instant pot’s max fill line.
  • Seal the top of your instant pot and set to cook on high pressure for 40 minutes.
  • Release the pressure manually, and carefully remove the chicken.
  • Strain out all of the solid ingredients.
